In his hands

“It was early morning and this baboon male was sitting in a tree near Skukuza, watching his troop. You can see the detail on his hands beautifully – for me it is special.”

This certainly is special, and it seems as though he’s sitting with his hands neatly folded. It’s not every day that you can see a baboon’s hands. This close, you can see how closely related we are to them. You even see fingernails.

If Johan wanted, he could once again crop the pic closer around the focal point (the hands). The bright sections on the right in the photo and the bit of green on the left don’t contribute to the overall picture. You only see one thing: those two folded hands with those neat nails…
