Nothing like home

My wife Liza and I commute between South Africa and Canada and we usually go there four times a year for work. But when the COVID-19 pandemic struck, we were trapped overseas and had to stay for longer due to the quarantine and cancelled flights. How sweet was our homecoming when we emptied the mailbox eventually. Not only were there no bills, but accumulated and unopened enjoyable reading material in the form of Drive & Camp and go!, I almost developed withdrawal symptoms for my own country. I’m actually glad I couldn’t read these magazines while sitting on the other side of the pond, because it would have driven me up the wall from sheer frustration to be in lockdown while wanting to travel. Now it’s time to catch up, and what a joy! Cheers, we’re back on home soil.
