The Fish River Canyon
At 160 km long, the mighty Fish River Canyon is the second-largest canyon in the world after the famous Grand Canyon in America. In some places it’s nearly 27 km wide, with the biggest drop measuring 550 m down.
It’s also famous for its grueling hiking trail, which measures a whopping 90 km from start to finish, climbing and winding through unforgiving, unsheltered wilderness. It takes around five days to complete and is the most comprehensive way to explore the eroded chasm.
