GRIZZLY BEAR (URSUS ARCTOS HORRIBILIS)
The grizzly bear is a subspecies of brown bear that inhabits western Canada and the northwestern United States.
They can stand as tall as 2.5 m and weigh up to 360 kg.
They have an astute sense of smell when detecting food, better than that of a hound.
They are good swimmers and fast runners, reaching speeds as high as 50 km/h over land.
As omnivores, grizzlies will eat anything nutritious including nuts, fruit, fish, rodents, sheep and elk.
