HOW TO REMOVE RUST
Cut two slices of potato (skin and all). The slices must be large enough to cover both sides of the knife blade. Rub the potato slices on the blade for a few minutes.
Pour ½ cup of baking soda into a bowl. Run a soft-bristled toothbrush under water and dunk it into the baking soda, covering the bristles well. Scrub both sides of the blade with the toothbrush for a few minutes.
Wipe with a paper towel and repeat the cleaning steps until all the rust is removed.
Add ½ teaspoon of light, general-purpose oil on both side of the blade. Wipe with a microfiber cloth.
