Go! Drive & Camp

No clutter and flutter

-

Keep everything that doesn’t need to be on the floor of the tent off it, by making sure you use the tent’s side pockets for the essentials, such as another layer of clothing or your cellphone, wallet, keys, torch and power bank.

See why the tent must be big enough? You really don’t want to be scrambling over bags and bodies on your way to the loo. If you’ve made a little porch in front of your tent, you can also leave your clothing bags and shoes outside your sleeping area. This also helps to keep the tent’s floor clean and clear of debris.

Also be sure to close the tent’s flaps or at least the mesh over the windows and doors, if so equipped, when you enter and leave your sleeping area. Being woken in the middle of the graveyard hours at night by a pesky mosquito is nobody’s idea of a good time.

Drive & Camp says Discard leftovers properly and leave food outside the sleeping area, either under your gazebo or better still; locked away in your vehicle. You don’t want scavengers scraping up against the tent at night looking for a meal.
