CLEAN AND SHARP
Now and then, tools are returned to Leatherman to be serviced, cleaned or to have the blades sharpened. In this case, the company is more than happy to do the required service at a minimal cost. They’ll also do their best to repair tools back to “working” order – not necessarily to a “new” or “like new” condition.
They offer the following at their service centre in Cape Town:
Standard service – Leatherman gets your tool in tip-top shape by doing a strip down, ultrasonic clean, lubrication and oil of pivot points, and sharpening. However, they encourage owners to follow their home maintenance tips so they are never without their Leatherman. Repairs – they fix all broken tools and only charge for the replacement parts. They don’t charge for parts that need to be replaced due to faulty material or workmanship. If parts are unavailable because a tool has been discontinued, they will offer a discount on a new comparable model at their discretion.
Rest assured that if your multitool breaks, Leatherman will fix it.
