Destination is known for its luxurious road caravans, but they are all around 8 m long. That’s sometimes an issue, as they don’t fit onto a stand. But, says André van Helsdingen, with his new Wish model, he’s found a solution to this “problem”. At 6,3m, not only is the Wish much shorter, it’s now also the cheapest model in the series. Yet, buyers get the same quality as its lengthier brothers. Another big difference is the double outside cupboard at the rear. Usually the aircon unit sits in the top one, but in the Wish, it moves down. That way, André gained a lot more space in the bathroom. André also works in the yacht industry, and the Wish is the first caravan in its range with a ceramic toilet like the ones you get on luxury deep-sea yachts. The biggest advantage is that the cassette sits outside the caravan, and the flushing action is electrical. Because the Wish is shorter, the interior benches are gone but the bed and outdoor kitchen remain the same.
