This canopy manufacturer is from Brackenfell in the Cape, and Ciske van Gijsen has been in charge since 2006. In addition to aluminium canopies, they make items such as custom drawer systems, roof racks, folding tables, sliding tracks for fridge/freezers, and camping kitchens.

Gomad 4x4 couriers its products across the country to agents who will install your drawer system. Each standard system consists of two fulllength drawers with 1 000 mm sliding tracks that can each carry 90 kg, sunken and lockable T-handles, and storage space on both sides of the drawers (in front and behind your bakkie’s wheel arches).

The drawers are made of aluminium painted with black epoxy. The deck on the loading system is 18 mm plywood covered with carpet. Ciske points out that the weight of Gomad 4x4’s drawer system – as well as the loading depth – is determined by your vehicle as each system is customised to suit your needs.
