Tough as nails

Jeremy Bergh, founder of AluCab, built his first canopy back in 2000. Today, the company, with its headquarters in Ottery, Cape Town, is known around the world. Alu-Cab not only builds canopies but also rooftop tents, roof racks, and all kinds of 4x4 equipment, including drawer systems.

The one shown here is the double-drawer model for the Ford Ranger double cab. Alu-Cab focuses on durability and, therefore, uses heavyduty stainless steel bearings in the sliders. Despite its sturdy construction, the drawer system weighs only 50 kg.

The drawers and their frame are made of aluminium, and the deck is water-resistant plywood covered with nylon carpeting. The mats inside the drawers are removable, so you can clean them.
