Give Vivian a bonus!
I would like to express my appreciation to all the staff of the Kruger National Park, who are so helpful and friendly.
There’s one person I want to single out, though: Vivian Mathavhathi, who works at Balule. This exceptional woman manages the camp: she awaits you upon your arrival and gives advice on the best stand to pick. She also takes care of all the facilities personally – this includes the braai areas. (She even cleans your braai grid.)
Every morning and evening, she comes to say hello and chats about your day. She also tells you where the wildlife roams in the area.
She works many days in a row, before taking a break to see her three children: Abigail (17), Akani (10), and Riffumelo (3), who lives with Vivian’s mother.
Vivian deserves a feather in her cap – and definitely a bonus.
