THE CHANCE OF A LIFETIME, buy a caravan dealership
It’s not every day that you get the opportunity to buy an established caravan business. CARA-CAMP Caravan & Outdoor Centre, located in the beautiful Somerset West, just outside of Cape Town, is one of the bigger dealerships in the country. Arnold Prosch has been at the helm for the last 22 years and has decided to step down. Now, someone new has the great opportunity to continue with this successful business. CARA-CAMP is an independent, accredited dealer of most wellknown brands, including Okto, Nayela, Stealth, Edgeout, Tuff Cats, Invader and Tonga caravans, as well as Swift, which is imported from England. Potential buyers can view different caravans on the display floor, and because CARA-CAMP always has new stock, they can compare proverbial apples with apples. The display floor is also where Arnold gets a better understanding of potential new caravan owners, because “you can’t sell what you can’t show”. The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the world, but the camping industry has experienced an unprecedented boom. Where better to spend time with your loved ones than in nature? This has resulted in greater demand for outdoor goods, which has naturally spilled over into the caravan market – caravans equipped for dirt roads and the bush make up about threequarters of CARA-CAMP’s sales. CARA-CAMP’s workshop is geared 100% to see to all the necessary servicing and repair work of the brand names on the display floor. In fact, the workshop boasts with five-star accreditation thanks to experts who don’t shy away from challenges. Second-hand caravans also form a large part of the business. This includes trade-ins but also private owners who want to sell their caravans. The LeisureWorld shop is the third leg of the business. On its shelves you’ll find everything you need to make your camping trip more comfortable and convenient: from camp chairs and lights, right through to sleeping bags and fridge-freezers. And it’s not just about business but also relationships. Over the years, CAMP-CARA has formed a strong bond with the country’s largest caravan dealer, Loftus Caravan City in Randburg. In this way, the needs of camping families on both sides of the country can be met. WHAT’S INCLUDED AND WHAT’S NOT? The sale includes CARA-CAMP as a whole – personnel posts included – but not the premises. CONTACT Arnold 021 852 8215 of info@cara-camp.co.za
