The best place to display your licence disc is the rear window of your caravan (figure 1). If yours doesn’t have a rear window, any other window will do – as long as it’s clearly visible for traffic officials. For a trailer, you must have a round licence disc holder mounted on the A-frame (figure 2). An information plate with the trailer’s certified gross vehicle mass (GVM) and gross axle mass (GA) must be displayed – usually also on the A-frame. When your trailer’s licence expires, you can still tow it legally for 21 days before you’ll have to get a new one. >
