Sun­dale helps fire vic­tims


Sun­dale Dairy do­nated Yo-Mageu prod­ucts to vic­tims of a fire that de­stroyed 20 shacks re­cently in Nom­pumelelo town­ship, in Bea­con Bay.

Ac­cord­ing to CEO, Pierre van Rens­burg, Sun­dale has a re­la­tion­ship with Rip­ples for Change, an NPO that sup­ports Early Child­hood De­vel­op­ment (ECD) cen­tres in ru­ral com­mu­ni­ties and through this as­so­ci­a­tion they have been sup­port­ing com­mu­ni­ties in and around the city.

“When we heard about the fires, we were more than happy to help. We are well aware of the dire cir­cum­stances fac­ing our com­mu­ni­ties and are com­mit­ted to push­ing for­ward to achieve sub­stan­tial growth that will change the lives of those most in need,” said Van Rens­burg.

Nom­pumelelo ward coun­cil­lor Makhaya Bopi said they wel­comed do­na­tions.

“We are thank­ful to all those who have do­nated. We wel­come any kind of do­na­tion be­cause the peo­ple are in need as some are now busy re­build­ing their shacks. I’ve also ap­pealed to busi­nesses in the sur­round­ing ar­eas; we need all the help we can get.”
