BLIND PI­ANIST AN IN­SPI­RA­TION

Dim­baza res­i­dent Abra­ham Ce­ty­wayo, 51, is a phe­nom­e­nal pi­anist, song­writer, and gospel artist who has been blind since birth. How­ever, he hasn’t let that stop him from pur­su­ing his pas­sion for mu­sic. His mu­sic helps to in­spire many peo­ple in and around King Wil­liam’s Town and he has even played as far as Cape Town and Jo­han­nes­burg over the years. He re­leased his first CD, ‘Uma­bal­a­bala’, in 2013, fol­lowed by his sec­ond, ‘Uloy­iso’, two years later. His third CD, ‘Uyingewele Bawo’, was re­leased in 2017. Ce­ty­wayo is al­ways seen sit­ting un­der a tree op­po­site the post of­fice where he touches peo­ple’s lives with his gospel mu­sic
