Siz­zling with his own spe­cial recipe

Af­ter mak­ing the top 5 at the 26th an­nual Sho­prite & Check­ers Cham­pi­onship Bo­ere­wors Com­pe­ti­tion in 2018, Markum Lewis of Buf­falo Flats is mak­ing great strides in his dreams of cre­at­ing his own spe­cial recipe.

The Ama­linda SPAR butch­ery man­ager has in­tro­duced his range of bo­ere­wors to the store.

Cheese wors, gar­lic and cheese, spinach and feta, Ital­ian sausage, as well as chilli wors, have be­come a house­hold name in the store.

Lewis said he was proud of the his recipe and his hard work.

“They are my own per­sonal recipes. On week­ends I make tons be­cause the de­mand is so high. I am proud and my bosses are proud,” he said.

One of the store’s butch­ery staff mem­bers, Amanda Nikelo, said cus­tomers loved Lewis’s range.

“If they are not in the store, the cus­tomers com­plain,” she said.

Lewis said his dream was to en­ter MasterChef, as well as open a butch­ery school for the un­der­priv­i­leged.
