Serving our GO! readers

Last year I wrote a column where I explained what our role as a community newspaper truly is.

The article is available online, but the long and short of it is that we are here to represent you, the community.

This doesn't just mean travelling out to report on stories, however, although that is still a core part of this newspaper. What it also means is that we are a voice for members of the community to share their stories with those around them.

You've no doubt seen the many beautiful pictures or insightful letters from readers we've published lately and they serve as a great example of what I'm talking about.

The GO! & Express should not just be a one-way project where we dictate the news to you. Rather, it should be a dynamic forum where everyone in East London and King can interact and discover more about each other.

So please, if you have something you really want to share with your community, whether it be a photograph, piece of news, or an opinion you'd like to express, send it through to us and we'll be happy to publish it in our next edition.

The community is the bedrock of this paper and we are happy to serve our loyal readers.
