Sterling action at Bloemfontein Open Squash Tournament and Buffalo City Aquatics Champs
Anumber of Clarendon Primary School students performed well in a number of sporting events recently.
Cara Knott took part in the recent Bloemfontein Open Squash Tournament, placing fourth in the country overall.
Meanwhile, fellow pupils shone at the Buffalo City Aquatics Championships. The results were as follows:
Girls 9-10 Age Group
● Camilla Heuer: first in 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle; first in 200m backstroke; first in 100m breaststroke, and; first in 200m individual medley
● Hannah Hattingh: second in 50m freestyle and second in 200m backstroke
● Emily Hatting: fourth in 50m freestyle and second in 100m individual medley
● Lily Collins: third in 200m backstroke and third in 100m individual medley
Girls 11-12 Age Group
● Holley Jacoby: first in 50m and 100m freestyle, first in 100m and 200m backstroke and first in 200m individual medley
● Emily Palmer: second in 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle; third in 50m and 100m backstroke, and; second in 50m breaststroke
● Jodi Boettger: first in 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke; third in 50m and 200m freestyle and; fourth in 100m freestyle
● Kayla Gous: third in 100m freestyle, first in 200m freestyle, second in 200m backstroke, second in 100m breaststroke, first in 100m individual medley and second in 200m individual medley
