East London’s Oh My Curry lives up to name

Naidoo’s delicious authentic Indian fare not for the timid

- FAITH MTWANA www.goexpress.co.za.

Oh My Curry owner Deon Naidoo prides himself on offering authentic Indian cuisine to East London diners, though he chuckles – “our food is not for the fainthearted”.

Located at Beacon Bay Crossing, Oh My Curry offers a variety of Indian dishes including delicious mutton, beef and chicken curries, as well as bunny chow.

The restaurant also offers vegetarian options.

While Naidoo said last year had been somewhat “trying”, he was excited about the coming year.

“2022 was a challenging year for us. We focused mainly on getting our name out there because many people didn’t know about us.

“We did get some complaints and we worked hard to rectify them,” he said.

“We faced many new business challenges but we are looking forward to bigger and better things this year.”

He and his two helpers work tirelessly to ensure they produce top quality meals.

“Our main goal for 2023 is to expand next door so we can have more space.

“We want to establish ourselves as the best proper

Indian restaurant in East London.”

He said their mutton bunny chow was their bestselling dish.

“Our recipes include masala imported directly from Durban, due to its scarcity in the Eastern Cape.

“We want people to enjoy our food but they must remember our food is not for the faint-hearted.”
