Make a plant stand
The perfect vertical solution for small spaces
If you lack planting space or want to create a garden feature using potplants, think vertical.

This plant stand looks like a miniature version of the stands where the local team plays each week. It’s a clever way to create a herb or vegetable garden in a small area. Use treated wood – the slightly greenish wood that builders use for scaffolding and roof trusses. Not only is it considerably cheaper than other wood but it will also withstand the elements for much longer. Although we painted ours a lovely duck-egg blue, paint is not really necessary, and neither is varnish.
