KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Accommodation: The camp at Sendelingsdrift has 10 self-catering chalets with air conditioning and a campsite. At Tatasberg and Gannakouriep, there are three self-catering units. They’re basic, but they have hot water, a gas stove and a gas fridge.
Potjiespram, De Hoop and Richtersberg are campsites next to the Orange River. The ablution facilities have cold water. Kokerboomkloof campsite only has dry toilets; bring your own water.
All stands are R275 per night; maximum six people and two vehicles. All formal accommodation is R1 030 per night for two people.
Fuel and shops? There’s a filling station at Sendelingsdrift with petrol and 50ppm diesel. The shop only stocks the basics, so bring everything else you might need.
Doineeda4x4? Yes, definitely inside the park.
Remember your water! Tatasberg and Gannakouriep have water, but it’s not potable. The river camps use water straight from the river. Bring your own drinking water. Kokerboomkloof has no water. Daily conservation fee: R72 per adult; R36 per child; free with a Wild card.
