Matroosberg Private Nature Reserve, about 35 km east of Ceres. After the first heavy snowfall of winter, hundreds of people flock here to build snowmen and make snow angels. Day visitors (R80 per adult; R60 per child aged 3 – 13) can hike, drive a 4x4 trail (R250 per vehicle), or go kloofing and abseiling (price on request).
