Leopard land

My family loves the southern central region of the Kruger Park and we were excited when the new S147 road between Satara and Olifants opened a couple of years ago.

I knew leopards had been seen on this dirt road, and when we drove it during a recent visit, we held thumbs around every bend. Jackpot! We spotted a leopard in the canopy of a marula tree, feasting on a baby wildebeest. We watched her for the better part of the morning as a steady stream of vehicles came and went.
