Nothing can prepare you for the stark beauty of the dunes of the Namib-Naukluft National Park. At sunrise and sunset they seem to glow in the golden light – it’s pure magic.

But not everyone is allowed at Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei during the golden hour. If photography is your priority, book a stand at Sesriem – the Namibia Wildlife Resorts camp next to the park gate. Guests who stay here are allowed to enter the park an hour before guests staying elsewhere, and they can remain in the park an hour later.
