THE EPIC FORTUNER

Family holidays and off-road adventures are supposed to be epic. With the brand-new version of the Toyota Fortuner, your trip will be memorable, for sure.

The Toyota Fortuner is South Africa’s top-selling SUV for a very good reason: It suits our lifestyle perfectly. Need to take the kids to soccer practice? Drive to Sandton City for dinner? Go on that well-earned trip to the Chobe in Botswana? The Fortuner will take any challenge you throw at it and deal with it in style.

The latest iteration of this South African icon is the new Fortuner Epic. There are two variants – the standard Epic and the Epic Black, which adds a host of unique black accents to increase the visual appeal of the vehicle. Both Epics are based on the bomb-proof 2.8-litre GD-6, and this package now becomes the standard for this derivative.

On the exterior, the Epic gets a branded nudge bar and tow bar, and the Black has a black roof, black roof rails, black side-view mirrors and all-black 18-inch alloy wheels. Combine this with Glacier White paintwork and you have a Fortuner that will turn heads wherever it travels. Other colours include Chromium Silver, Graphite Grey and Avant-Garde Bronze.

The interior retains the leather seats and soft-touch trim on the dashboard, and it includes a third row of seats that can be folded away.

Metal scuff plates and Epic-branded carpets have been added to the mix.

The Epic is loaded with standard specification that includes dual-zone climate control, smart entry and push start, touch screen infotainment system with navigation, reverse camera, TFT Multi-Information Display (MID), blue Optitron instrumentation, cruise control, steering switches, poweradjustable driver seat and a power back door.

The four-wheel-drive models feature the A-TRAC off-road traction control logic and Downhill Assist Control (DAC), to make navigating obstacles a breeze. You can also select 2WD/4WD/4WD Lo on the fly. It’s the perfect overlanding vehicle, comfortable and reliable. What are you waiting for?
