South Africa is the only country in the world with a street that was home to not one, but two recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize. Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu both lived in Vilakazi Street in Soweto.

The length in kilometres that a sardine shoal can reach during the Sardine Run, which takes place between May and July each year. The shoals can be up to 4,5km wide and 40m deep.
