FRANSCHHOEK OPEN GARDEN FESTIVAL

From cute village gardens to sprawling farm gardens, the Franschhoek Open Garden Festival is the perfect excuse to get outside and enjoy the warmer springtime weather.

This year, 11 gardens will be on show, including five new entrants that have never been open to the public before. Some owners will be displaying their personal art collection and others will be serving tea and wine for you to enjoy as you amble among the blooms.

Whether as a preamble to an afternoon of wine tasting, or to get inspiration for your own garden, it’s sure to be a beautiful day out.

Cost: Tickets to view all the gardens are R200 per person; available at La Motte and at the Dutch Reformed church in Main Street, Franschhoek. You will get a map, detailing the location of each garden. Contact: Franschhoek Tourism 021 876 2861
