Transport Dam never disappoints

You never drive past Transport Dam in the Kruger without having a look – that’s a golden rule! We almost missed this leopard during our visit in March 2021 because the dam had been so quiet the previous day.

Just as we were driving past, another vehicle flashed their lights to alert us to a sighting: There was a leopard with an impala in one of the small trees. Hyenas were gathered on the ground, hoping the leopard would drop her kill. The leopard leapt from tree to tree like an acrobat until she could safely hang her impala in the fork of a bigger tree. I couldn’t believe our luck!
