Q ‘I have very curly hair that’s dry and frizzy. What can I do or use to get my curls under control and looking healthy?’

Curly hair is naturally dry because it’s more porous than other types of hair, and the more porous your hair, the more moisture it loses. Add colouring and heat styling to the mix and it becomes even more difficult for hair to retain moisture. When picking products, check the ingredients list for humectants (ingredients that hold moisture in the hair) like glycerine. Anything labelled ‘milk’ or ‘balm’ fights frizz by sealing and smoothing hair cuticles.
