3 WAYS TO DECORATE WITH PERSIAN RUGS & KELIMS
Comfort and joy
Pop a Persian halfway under your bed (or one on either side) so that the first thing your bare feet hit in the morning is soft silk or wool. Don’t be afraid of colour – Persians team beautifully with blue – and simplify things by keeping linen plain white.
If you’re lucky enough to have a sizable collection you’re not using enough, consider covering an entire floor with your rugs. Persians are also ideal on a covered patio, as they can help extend an indoor living area outside.
Traditionally Persian rugs are found in living rooms, but a worn rug can look wonderful in a kitchen. (Make sure it’s heavy enough not to become a tripping hazard.) Or use it as a bath mat – just remember to air it often.
