Eight-year-old Mira… I remember twirling my hair into ringlets all the time even though I was convinced I was the biggest tomboy – mainly because my sister thought she was a tomboy, and of course I just wanted to emulate her. The two of us would dress each other up, climb all the trees, pretend we were magical (good) witches and ride our bikes until one of us (me) broke an arm. Ah, life was good.
