ENTRY TO ELECTRIFICATION
By 2025, Bosch predicts that more than 15 million vehicles worldwide will run 48-volt mild-hybrid systems. What do they do? Well, this setup won’t move your car but will rather support and assist the engine instead, thus reducing emissions, improving fuel efficiency and, in some cases, boosting performance. With emission regulations becoming ever stricter, manufacturers such as Jaguar, Volvo, and even Maserati have now adopted this form of electrification. It serves as a stepping stone towards plug-in hybrid systems and eventually fully electric vehicles.
