GQ: What do 48 hours look like before and after the match?

Bradley Grobler: The 48 hours before and after the game are probably the most relaxed days of the week. We undergo pre-match training, which is light. It involves focusing on eating well, consuming plenty of fluids, and mentally preparing ourselves to ensure we’re ready for the game. The days after the game are more about recovering and getting your body back up and running. I must admit that these days are a bit challenging for me. It’s crucial to maintain a proper diet and take good care of yourself during this time.

GQ: What does sweat and odour control do for your confidence?

BG: I believe it’s crucial for anyone, especially for us footballers, including myself. When stepping onto the field, the desire is to both look and feel good. A significant aspect of achieving that is effective odour control, providing confidence and a positive self-image. So, I definitely think it has an impact.

GQ: Does the mitchum collaboration influence your training?

BG: I would say yes, as a player, you want to feel and look good, and I’ve always believed that football is about confidence. Having a brand like Mitchum that can provide assistance, even if it’s just a 3% improvement, gives you the assurance that you can go out there and not worry about smelling bad. This boosts your confidence, and I strongly believe in its impact. I think Supersport United and Mitchum are both exciting and ambitious brands aiming for greater achievements. I have no doubt that a collaboration like this will have a massive influence on fans and strengthen our relationship with them. Mitchum has done an amazing job in giving you the confidence that, no matter how hard you’re working, it will take care of that odour.
