GQ: how does the mitchum partnership influence your training?

Lyle Lakay: It not only impacts my training by keeping me sweat free and smelling good for an extended period, but also motivates me to push myself to train longer and harder.

GQ: how do you see this partnership enhancing your connection with fans and followers?

LL:

I enjoy engaging with my fans and followers on social media. I feel that by sharing my authentic experience of the Mitchum product, this will entice my fans and followers to go out, try and purchase Mitchum products.

GQ: What do 48 hours look like in the life of lyle lakay the day before and after a match?

LL: Mostly relaxed – trying to prepare physically and mentally for the game. Before the game I won’t do much. I usually listen to music, chill, and try to rest to get both my body and mind in the right space. After the game, it is all about recovery – relaxing, probably doing an ice bath and stretching to help speed up the recovery process.

GQ: What does sweat and odour control do for your confidence?

LL: When you smell good, you feel good, and that confidence translates into a belief that you can accomplish what you set out to do on the field.

GQ: if you didn’t play football, what would you be doing?

LL: If I wasn’t a player, I think I would still be within the football space and would probably be coaching at junior level with the kids.
