This is when the Christmas lights will be switched on

GRAAFF-REINET — It is that time of the year again when the local municipality celebrates the festive season by switching on the Christmas lights in the various towns.

The celebrations will see Aberdeen’s lights being switched on on December 8 and Nieubethesda’s lights on the evening of December 9. This will be followed by Graaff-reinet on December 10, Willowmore and Rietbron and Baviaanskloof on December 11, Steytlerville and Wolwefontein on December 12 and Jansenville, Klipplaat and Waterfort on December 13. The official ceremonies will no doubt prove to be very exciting events, especially for the children.

More details weren’t available at the time of going to press, but will be posted on the various notice boards around the towns with more information closer to the various dates.
