Annual wine tasting event shaping up to be bigger and better than ever

-

GRAAFF-REINET — The Karoo Wine Club has started 2018 with a song in its heart and wine in its hand and great news for locals.

The fifth annual Stoep Tasting weekend is going to be bigger and better than ever before.

There are 26 confirmed wine estates and a range of craft beer, brandy and gin makers booked for what has become known as the best wine festival in the Karoo. Master classes and street food, as well as various interesting specialised events, have also been added to the programme.

The festival will be held as usual on Friday and Saturday, May 25 and 26, and the Gem of the Karoo, Graaff-reinet, is once again to be the host town.

Until the end of January, the Karoo Wine – ‘Sibella the Miracle Cheetah’ - was finally aired in South Africa on Sunday evening, January 14, after having been aired in France, Australia, the United States of America, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates since November last year.

Sibella and Samara were also featured in the latest Sunday Times in an article on the plight of the cheetah.

Read more about Sibella on Samara’s website: Club is offering a special New Year Bonus to local residents and regular supporters. Early bird tickets are available until January 31 at a discounted price of only R175 per person - a saving of over 20%.

The ticket price includes all wine tasting at every estate for both the Friday and the Saturday, as well as a tasting glass and a nifty glass sling. After this offer expires, the normal price of R225 per person will apply. Tickets will be available until April 30, unless the event is sold out before that time. There is a fixed number of tickets available, for logistical reasons, and once that limit is reached, no more tickets will be sold.
