Truly determined to be courageous
Graaff-reinet-based Jehovah’s Witnesses will be among the anticipated 8 000 delegates attending the three-day annual convention from 19 to 21 October, starting at 09:20 each day, under the theme “Be Courageous!”
The convention takes place at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth, and is one of 180 similar programmes all over the world.
As in previous years, the Witnesses are participating in a global campaign to invite the general public to attend the programme free of charge. The three-day programme consists of 54 presentations that will include talks, audio dramas, interviews, and short videos. Additionally, a feature film entitled The Story of Jonah - A Lesson in Courage and Mercy will be shown on the final day of the programme. Each day, the morning and afternoon sessions will be introduced by music videos prepared specifically for the convention.
It is evident that people of all ages are dealing with more anxieties and fears than ever before. It takes courage to face these pressures.
Everyone is welcomed to this year’s convention to benefit from the practical advice that is contained in the Bible.
Large LED screens will be erected at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium so the audience can enjoy the programme in their preferred language, whether English, isixhosa, Afrikaans, or Sign Language.
