Monthly Medal contested

Pick n Pay sponsored the Monthly Medal competition held this past Saturday, 3 December, at the Graaffreinet Golf Club.

The day's play was won by Archie Welman with 69 nett. Jacques Wagener came in second with 70 nett, followed by Dennis Hendrils (71nett) in third place, Weppie Weideman (71 nett) in fourth place and Hubri Bruyn (71 nett) in fifth place.

Nearest the pin on holes 4 & 13 was Colin Warner while Weppie Weideman was nearest the pin on holes 6 & 15. Noël Taylor-freeme hit the day's longest drive.

On Wednesday, 28 November, André Olivier won the IPS competition sponsored by Gold Rush followed by Jaco Venter in second place on 33 points and Weppie Weideman in third place on 32 points.

This coming Saturday, 8 December, the Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be hosting a golf day which promises to be great fun.

The Midland Open and the first leg of the A-division Club Championships will take place on Sunday, 9 December. - this means that the course will be closed for social golf until 16:00.

On Saturday,15 December, the club will be holding its special Christmas golf day followed by a Christmas dinner with entertainment and a DJ. This dinner is open to everyone.
