Man dies after stabbing

The Jansenvill­e Police are investigat­ing a murder after a 29-year-old Jansenvill­e man was stabbed in his neck on 5 September, at around 18:15.

According to the police spokespers­on for the area, Capt Bradley Rawlinson, Zavier Pietersen ran into an entertainm­ent business in Holland Location with multiple stab wounds to his neck. He collapsed and died.

“The 37-year-old man who had been seen arguing with the deceased before the stabbing was arrested later that evening by Jansenvill­e Police,” said Rawlinson.

The suspect was to appear in the Jansenvill­e District Court on 7 September, but it was not yet clear what the outcome of his appearance was by the time of going to print.
