Academy Development wins tournament
The Sarah Baartman District Nedbank Cup 2022 was played last weekend. The Dr Beyers Naudé
Local Municipality Local Football Association (LFA) teams, the Camdeboo Football Academy Development (Academy Football) and the Portugal Birds FC, played the final at Masizakhe Stadium on Saturday.
These two teams are regarded as the best teams in Masizakhe and the game was a tough one. Saneliso Gaziya for The Academy scored the first goal in the first half.
Both teams showed great determination to win the game.
A goal from Mark Zinganoh of Portugal Birds equalized the score to
1 - 1. By the end of the first half, the score was 2 - 2.
The second half started with greater determination as both teams wanted to win. The last goal was sealed by Ayanda Matomela of Academy Development winning the game with 3 - 2.
