Nine gold for Destiny Swimming School
The annual Nelson Mandela Bay Aquatics (NMBA) gala was held at Newton Park Swimming Pool in Gqeberha from 15 to 17 December last year. A total of 16 children from GraaffReinet competed in this event and did exceptionally well.
"No one can explain the feeling when sitting in the stand, witnessing all the excitement, the nerves, the tears, the support, and then finally the results of training paying off. It was an absolute amazing experience," says JP Steyffert, coach of the swimming school. The swimmers all say that they are thankful to their coach for all the planning, the commitment, support and early mornings.
