Last Saturday witnessed the thrilling kick-off of the Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality Local Football Junior League at the uMasizakhe Stadium. Junior football enthusiasts and stakeholders eagerly gathered to witness the budding talents showcase their skills on the field.

Khwezi Xalisa, the coordinator, emphasised the significance of junior football development, particularly in preparation for the junior football event slated for July. With teams and coaches registered under this league expressing enthusiasm for the tournament, which coincides with Mandela Month, the stage is set for a display of talent and passion.

Football holds a prominent position in the country and is a vital component of our communities that exerts influence globally. The promotion and advancement of football align with the Safa Vision 2022, aiming to encourage growth and nurture the game at grassroots level.
