Hit and run case postponed

- By LOYISO DYONGMAN

The culpable homicide case of the man alleged to have killed 21-yearold Ashlin Moolman in a hit and run car incident in Currie Street in September was postponed to 4 Decem- ber at the Grahamstown Magistrate’s court this week. Moolman’s family and friends packed the courtroom. All of them were wearing white T-shirts with “RIP Ashlin, aged to perfection, 29-07-1994 – 19-09-2015” written on them. Moolman died on the scene and his friend was seriously injured. The vehicle was allegedly travelling at high speed. Ashlin's parents were woken up by neighbours who informed them of what had happened. The 30 yearold driver fled the scene but later handed himself over to police. Currently he is still out on bail pending the investigation of the police.
