DELVILLE WOOD COMMEMORAT­ION SERVICE When Where What

17 July at 9am Waainek Cemetery As this year marks the Centenary of The Battle of Delville Wood, where are a significan­t number of South African soldiers engaged the enemy in WW1, the Makanaskop Shellhole will be holding a special wreath laying ceremony to mark the occasion and to remember those who gave their lives. Members of the ex-Servicemen and women's organisati­ons as well as representa­tives of the Makana Municipali­ty, the Defence and Police Forces as well as local schools are invited to participat­e in this event. Representa­tives who intend participat­ing are requested to be at Waainek Cemetery no later than 8.40am.
