Access the information

Makana Municipality (MM) has a constitutional obligation, in terms of South Africa’s Promotion of Access to Information Act (No. 2 of 2000), to ensure that Makana residents have effective access to information about the Municipality and its governance.

Of interest to the public, this week Makana Municipality has had the following Portfolio Committee meetings:

• Tourism & Cultural Industries (TCI) – 14 March 2017.

• Social Development (SD) – 15 March 2017.

• Infrastructure Development (ID) – 16 March 2017

• Today 17 March 2017 at 9am, there will be a Municipal Standard Chart of Accounts (mSCOA) Implementation Committee meeting.

Still to come in March, the following Portfolio meetings are scheduled:

• Local Economic Development (LED) – 22 March 2017.

• Finance, Administration, Monitoring & Evaluation (FAME) – 23 March 2017.

• The Municipal Standard Chart of Accounts (mSCOA) Steering Committee – 24 March 2017.

• Special Council Meeting to consider the draft Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget – 29 March 2017
