Conference to explore value of creativity

The South African Cultural Observatory (SACO) is hosting its second National Conference on the creative economy and development at the Turbine Hall, in Johannesburg on May 24 and 25. The South African Cultural Observatory (Saco)'s annual conference in May will explore the interface between the creative economy and development.

“The conference is an important opportunity to profile global and local research in the cultural and creative industries and arts, culture and heritage sectors.

“But will also look at economic impact, employment figures, statistics and other bedrock information that positions those sectors as a real functioning industry – especially in South Africa and on the African continent,” said Professor Richard Saco chief executive.
