This week 179 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 12 were first timers and 32 recorded new Personal Bests. Representa­tives of 8 different clubs took part. Male placings: Jay FISHER (SM20-24) (Unattached) was first over the line in 19:11 - third time in 3 appearance­s. Thoko SIPUNGU (SM25-29) (Unattached) was second over the line in 21:09 - has been first to finish on 19 previous occasions. An unknown runner was third. Female placings: Lindsay NAGEL ( VW50-54) (Unattached) was first (12th overall) over the line in 24:16 - first appearance. Sascha VAN DER MERWE (JW15-17) (Unattached) was second (15th overall) over the line in 25:16 - has been first to finish on 2 previous occasions. Lorien PASK ( VW45-49) of K-Way VOB, was third (24th overall) over the line in 26:45. The three highest age grades were recorded by: Lindsay NAGEL ( VW50-54) – 69.09% for the time 24:16 (12th overall). Lynne MARSHALL ( VW65-69) – 67.60% for the time 31:23 (56th overall). Jay FISHER (SM20-24) – 67.25% for the time 19:11 (first overall). The female record is held by Kendal ROSE who recorded a time of 00:21:43 on 5th November 2016 (event number 110). The male record is held by Roger DAVIES who recorded a time of 00:19:01 on 28th November 2015 (event number 61). The Age Grade course record is held by Cairis APPOLLIS who recorded 77.62% (22:56) on 1st August 2015 (event number 45).

56 players took part in a well-organised competitio­n by Brian Waddington in aid of Hospice on Friday, 7th April. The winning players for the day were : - Best Skip – Trevor Frost, Best Third – Di Gruneberg, Best Second – Brian Aldag and Best Lead – Ivor Rule Renee Vroom 101 singles: Winner: Colette Reid, Runner-Up: Sylvia Prevost.
