No buses? No problem, thanks to St Andrew's, VGHS

-

The teachers of the Nombulelo Grade 10 and Grade 11 Mathematics learners recently wanted to take them to the museum. What a good idea. What a big problem! Nombulelo has no school buses. Easy: The children could pay R20 each and go to the museum by taxi. And what if the best Maths learners couldn’t afford the R20? Is it fair to exclude them on financial grounds?

A better solution: St Andrew’s College came to the party and offered transport to the Thursday group.

Victoria Girls’ High School and Eluxolweni Shelter made their buses and drivers available to do the transport on the Friday... and we could go!

The learners had a wonderful time at the museum and enjoyed the talks by Mr Mahlasela and Mrs Madinda.

Thank you to everyone who came on board to make sure that those learners had an unforgettable morning.
