Can you work out the names of celebrities from past and present with the help of the following cryptic clues? Most of them are South Africans. You may find it useful to write down or speak aloud each part of the clue as you go – the spelling may not always be the same. There are also occasional anagrams (e.g. the letters of ‘Lana’ = Alan). And remember to think laterally, not literally! Eg. Alas, steal and reverse into prison (7,4) = ‘Alas’ + ‘nick’ reversed = Nick = alas = Cage = Nicholas Cage.
