Heated towel rails add an element of luxury to any bathroom. It’s not just a matter of comfort; towels dry faster, making them more hygienic, says Mark Bennett of Jeeves.

“There’s no need to worry about electricity consumption as fluid-filled heated towel rails (incorporating our Automatic Heating Technology, for example) are surprisingly efficient and draw power only when necessary,” explains Mark. The result is electricity usage of no more than the equivalent of a light bulb or two. “The average size heated towel rail in our range uses a 120W thermostatic element, resulting in a cyclical energy draw of about 50% of the time that the unit is switched on. Hence, we say that the average unit in our range uses the equivalent electricity of one (60W) light bulb.”
